Antlers Sports Volunteers (ASV) primarily assist with the operation of Antlers home games. In addition, participants will have opportunities to attend various welfare events. We welcome applications from all eager individuals, including those who have registered with us in the past.

Overview

Volunteer staff are essential for operating Antlers' home games. Their history began in 1993, the inaugural year of the J-League, with the formation of the "Kashima Sports Volunteer Center (KSV)," primarily led by the Cultural and Sports Promotion Corporation, Sports Association, and Football Association of Kashima Town (now Kashima City).

Eventually, KSV came under the umbrella of Antlers in 2007, and restarted under the new name "Antlers Sports Volunteers (ASV)." Today, volunteers of all ages continue to support Antlers' home games.

Activities

Our activities are diverse, including collecting prohibited bottles and cans, authenticating tickets at the gates, and operating eco-stations in the outdoor areas.

Operational Activities for Antlers Home Games

Cooperation in volunteer activities for other local sports events, etc.

There is also a volunteer-run steering committee. If you have any questions or concerns while working, please rest assured that the leaders will kindly and thoroughly guide you.

It also functions as a local community that creates various horizontal connections, serving as a place for middle-aged and older individuals to contribute to the community and for younger individuals to make friends who share common interests.

Events are held during and after the season. Several times a year, "Away Training" is conducted, and after the season, a social gathering for volunteers called "ASV Gathering" is held annually.

A Day at a Home Game

4 hours 15 minutes until kickoff | Meeting

Each leader will gather 4 hours and 30 minutes before the match begins. After confirming the traffic conditions on the day, ticket sales, events, etc., an all-staff meeting will be held 4 hours and 15 minutes before kickoff. Everyone will share information and practice greetings such as "Welcome!" and "Thank you very much!".

*(On weekdays, if the stadium opens 2 hours before kickoff, the meeting will be 3 hours and 15 minutes before kickoff.)

4 hours until kickoff | Venue preparation, eco-stations, and information center

Once everyone is in position, each leader shares more specific information about their respective areas during group meetings. Afterwards, they proceed with venue setup.

Gate staff work together to clean the surrounding area and set up tables and equipment for the entrance, ensuring a safe and speedy welcome for spectators.

Additionally, some staff operate eco-stations for sorted waste collection in areas like the outdoor food and beverage zone, while others at the information desk provide guidance on transportation, the day's schedule, and locations of restrooms and entrances.

3 Hours Until Kick-off | Doors Open

When the gates open, volunteer staff at the gates will authenticate tickets using dedicated terminals and transfer any prohibited items such as bottles and cans. Wheelchair users will be courteously escorted to their designated seating area by the staff at the "dedicated gate."

Match End | Exit Information

After the game, when a large number of customers are leaving all at once, we see them off with gratitude for their visit, returning their suitcases, strollers, and other items that were checked in upon entry.

Afterward, the leaders from each team hold a debriefing meeting to review any issues, and then the staff is dismissed.

・Reason for joining ASV
In 1993, when the J-League was founded, I received a request to register as a volunteer through the Sports Association (I was a member of the Ski Federation at the time). I thought I could participate on weekdays (when matches were held on Wednesdays), so I applied (although now most matches are on Saturdays and Sundays).

・Reason for continuing as a volunteer
I strongly felt that professional sports were coming to my hometown, and as long as there was a professional organization, I wanted to cooperate.

・Memorable experiences during my work
It's wonderful to meet various people and to be able to help customers when they have a problem upon arrival. It makes me very happy when I can solve their issues.

・What ASV means to you
It's a group of friends and comrades with a common goal, and I want to cherish it going forward.

・Future aspirations
I want to walk alongside Antlers.

・How I came to join the ASV
I became interested in registering as a volunteer during the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan and Korea, but I couldn't make up my mind. Two years later, I saw an announcement in the city newsletter and registered.

・Reasons for continuing as a volunteer
Coming to volunteer duties has become my goal (last year I participated in all matches. Night duties are getting harder every year, so I will refrain from night games this year).

・Memorable events during duties
The excitement of the fans during the first leg of the 2018 ACL final was incredible.

・Enjoyment during duties
It was enjoyable to meet volunteers from all over the country when I volunteered (as an ASV member) at the All-Star Game held at the National Stadium.

・What does ASV mean to you?
It's fun to meet various people of different ages. It's my daily goal, and I want to continue doing it.

I came to the stadium as an Antlers supporter and applied after seeing the recruitment notice on the Antlers official website.

・Reason for continuing as a volunteer
I want to contribute to the Antlers winning the championship.

・What I enjoy about the work
It's enjoyable to meet many spectators, and I'm happy to meet fellow volunteers who share the common desire to help the team because they love Antlers. I hope to continue for as long as possible.

・Why I joined ASV
I was looking for something to do after retirement, and I saw the recruitment announcement on the Antlers official website. When I was younger, I used to work here, so I remembered that my senior colleagues at the time were volunteering, which motivated me to apply. Last year, I visited the stadium 3-4 times, so I thought I could manage four workdays a year. Also, I look forward to meeting acquaintances and friends when I come to work, and I'd like to visit other prefectures along the way, feeling like I'm on a trip.

・My impression of my first day on the job
It was busy with many visitors, but I enjoyed meeting many people. I also want to be able to handle other positions soon, and if possible, I'd like to work hard to continue for a long time.

A friend who saw the recruitment announcement on the Antlers official website and became interested after seeing our activities on the linked note invited me to join, and I decided to give it a try. Since I love Antlers, I applied hoping to contribute to the team.

Application Guidelines

Eligibility requirements

・Healthy individuals aged 18 and over (excluding high school students)
・Those who can participate in at least 9 home games between February 2026 and June 2027.
　・At least 3 times during the 2026 special season (February - June)
　・At least 3 times in the first half and at least 3 times in the second half of the 2026-27 season (July - June)
・Those who can attend the mandatory job training

Activity Date

Antlers Home Game Dates
・Volunteer registrants will be asked to submit their available dates, and after adjustments are made by the secretariat, they will be notified of the dates they will be active.
・We will inform you of activities such as local sports events as they arise.

Application Requirements

If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, the Steering Committee will conduct a document review and notify the applicants directly.

Welfare Events

Antlers Sports Volunteer (ASV) staff can participate in various welfare events.

Please note that welfare events may be canceled or changed depending on social conditions. Thank you for your understanding.

Off-site training

We will travel to away games to observe other clubs' volunteer operations and watch matches. This training is designed to learn about match operations at other venues, apply that knowledge to Antlers' match operations, and deepen relationships among members.

Watch a game ticket giveaway

This system allows you to receive tickets to Antlers home games if you participate in volunteer activities more than the stipulated number of times.

ASV Gathering

Once a year, we hold an "ASV Gathering" that volunteers can attend.

Commemorative gift

Those who participate in activities four or more times a year will receive a commemorative gift (after the end of the year's activities).

Long-Service Award

We honor those who have participated continuously for 10, 20, or 30 years.
