Additionally, following discussions with the public health center, six top team players (Daiki Sugioka, Ryotaro Araki, Koki Machida, Ikuma Sekigawa, Daiki Yamada, Keigo Tsunemoto) have been identified as close contacts and are currently in isolation for observation.
Although they are not close contacts, players not on the bench for today's 2020 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 27 game against Kawasaki Frontale have been asked to stay at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The club facilities will be closed from today until Monday, 16th, and the entire building will be disinfected with alcohol on Sunday, 15th. Regarding future training and the reopening of club facilities, we will collaborate with the J-League, Ibaraki Prefecture, and the competent public health center, and will announce updates as soon as they are decided. The club will further strengthen the COVID-19 countermeasures we have implemented thus far, and we will ensure that all players, staff, and related personnel are reminded of and thoroughly adhere to infection prevention measures again.
