We would like to inform you that Katsuya Nagato, a player from our top team, has tested positive for COVID-19 in a PCR test. As a result, the public health center has identified six other top team players as close contacts.
In response to this situation, after discussions with the J.League and the opposing club, and in light of the current J.League protocol, we have decided to proceed with today's match, "2020 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 27 against Kawasaki Frontale (kick-off at 17:00)," scheduled for Saturday, November 14th. This decision excludes the infected player and the six players identified as close contacts, for a total of seven players.
We would also like to inform you that all other top team players and team officials, excluding Nagato, who underwent PCR testing early this morning (Saturday, November 14th), have all tested negative.
We apologize to all attendees for any inconvenience caused by the last-minute decision regarding the match's feasibility.
