On April 6, 2018, the day before the J1 League Matchday 6 Shonan match, Coach Yanagisawa met with a third party at the away hotel without the team's permission. Following a report in a weekly magazine, he was interviewed, admitted to the disciplinary violation, and was consequently disciplined.
