We are pleased to announce that on Sunday, May 19, 2024, we signed a friendly town agreement with Ryugasaki City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The signing ceremony took place at Kashima Stadium before the start of the 2024 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 15 against Vissel Kobe, held on the same day.

With this agreement, the total number of friendly towns has reached 13 municipalities. We will continue to deepen our cooperation with each local government and promote initiatives for regional revitalization and solving regional issues.

Furthermore, for the 2024 season, Friendly Town Days "Ryugasaki Day" will be held on Saturday, October 19, or Sunday, October 20, during the 2024 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 34 against Avispa Fukuoka. Residents, workers, and students of Ryugasaki City will be invited free of charge as a pair to Kashima Stadium.

What is a Friendly Town?

Agreements have been progressively signed since 2011, mainly with municipalities adjacent to the five hometown cities or municipalities where schools are operated.
