【Tournament Format and Rules】
・5-a-side (4 children and 1 adult must play).
・Futsal rules apply, but no back-passes, 4-second rule, or 5-foul limit.
・Three teams play each other twice in a round-robin format. However, no champion will be decided.
Despite being February, the weather was warm and perfect on the day of the event.
Before the matches, each team was seen carefully preparing, checking their tactics. The children's voices could be heard saying, "We're going to score a goal!" and "We're definitely going to win!!". Once the matches began, they were seen eagerly heading towards the goal and bravely challenging the larger adults. The adults also scored goals, unwilling to be outdone, and both children and adults engaged in intense battles, with the cheers from the gallery growing louder with each goal scored.
During the matches, whenever a goal was scored, both adults and children were seen high-fiving together as a team, a joyful sight. Also, by aiming for the goal together, adults and children shared feelings of frustration and joy, allowing us to once again feel the true value of the Family Futsal Tournament.
After the matches, we held our customary grand lottery with various prizes. This time, adults could win straps, hand towels, and Nike products, while children could win trading cards, non-saleable clear files, and soccer balls. This was also exciting, with parents and children winning together, and even entire teams winning prizes.
