Academy Report

The Kashima Youth team on their expedition to Spain reached their 7th day, starting the morning with a run around the hotel. After the morning run and breakfast at the hotel, they had another 5-hour bus journey from Murcia to Madrid. In Madrid, they are staying at the same hotel as last time.
After lunch upon arrival, they departed the hotel at 17:00 to watch a match. The match they watched was Getafe vs. Levante. The tickets for this match were arranged by Shibasaki, who currently plays for Getafe.


Before entering the stadium, they were interviewed by TV. Although the stadium was not very large, the atmosphere was excellent, with the players close to the ground and a strong sense of unity among the supporters.

Shibasaki also played in the second half, but the match ended in a 0-1 victory for Levante.

Even though he was tired after the match, Shibasaki took a photo with them and offered some words of encouragement.
