This time, I went to photograph the "cherry blossoms blooming by the water" in the Suigo area.
The day of the shoot was Friday, March 26. In the morning, the fog was thick due to the rain that fell the previous day, and the entire landscape was pure white, almost invisible. Fog often occurs in this area, which has many rivers and lakes.
Around 9:00 AM, the fog disappeared, and the sky cleared up. It was a warm and pleasant day.

The photo above shows the cherry blossoms along the cycling road on the shores of Lake Kasumigaura in Aso, Namegata City.
They were about 50% in bloom. They were not yet in full bloom, but their beautiful pale pink flowers delighted cyclists.

Next, I decided to visit "Gongen-yama," a famous cherry blossom spot in Ushibori, Itako City.
Although a cherry blossom festival is usually held here every year, it will not be held this year.

The photo above shows the scenery around where Lake Kasumigaura flows out as the Hitachi-Tone River. The bridge over the river is the Kitatone Bridge on National Route 51.
The cherry blossoms at Gongen-yama were about 30% in bloom, so there is still time to enjoy them.
I continued along the Hitachi-Tone River and came to the cherry blossom avenue along the river in the center of Itako City.

The bridge in the distance is the Itako Ohashi Bridge.

The green reflections on the water evoke the atmosphere of the Suigo.
Finally, I visited the cherry blossom avenue at Maekawa Ayame Garden.

These cherry blossoms were almost in full bloom. It was a weekday, and there were only a few people, so I was able to enjoy the flowers peacefully under the cherry trees.
It rained over the weekend, but there were still many flowers blooming on Monday, the 29th.

The cherry blossoms by the waters of Suigo stood quietly, delighting people's eyes.
During the shoot, I met a cute bird. I looked it up and found it was a Eurasian Coot, a type of duck. The Suigo area is home to many waterbirds such as herons, ducks, kingfishers, and swans in winter.
