Kashimanada Seaside Park is conveniently located about 30 minutes north of the clubhouse on Route 51 by car. I've passed by it many times for work, but this was my first time actually entering the park.
As I discovered on my first visit, Kashimanada Seaside Park was a treasure trove of breathtaking views!
First, I parked my car and walked along the promenade towards the sea, and soon I saw the beautiful blue ocean.

The location is so outstanding that it looks like a scene from a movie could be filmed there.
As I continued further, I saw a grassy area overlooking the sea on my right. This also offered a wonderful view.

This area, called the Picnic Plaza, also had cute benches shaped like tree stumps. You can sit on the benches and relax while enjoying the beautiful sea.

Returning to the road and walking a little further, I found a wooden promenade called the "boardwalk" stretching straight through a pine forest. It was a beautiful straight line.

I decided to drive towards Ohtake Coast.
The blue was so beautiful it felt like I could be drawn into it.

Looking north, you can see the Hitachinaka and Oarai areas, and faintly blue beyond them, the mountains of northern Ibaraki Prefecture.

To the south is the Kashima area.

I had mistakenly assumed the autumn beach would be deserted, but I was wrong.

Many anglers were bravely challenging the sea.

I really wanted to know what kind of fish they were catching, so I asked someone who was packing up to leave. He said that this time of year, they usually target yellowtail (inada) and flounder. However, this year the yellowtail were late, so they hadn't caught much yet. Flounder, he said, are present all year round. This particular person was targeting crabs and showed me the crabs he had caught.

What a great haul!
They were Hiratsumegani, a type of swimming crab, and he said they're delicious in pasta or fried rice. He also told me, "If you go towards Oarai, you can catch sardines. The yellowtail follow the sardines!"
Kashimanada Seaside Park was a whole different world than I had imagined.
