Yakitori Genki
Yakitori Genki is a takeout specialty shop that opened on July 26, 2019. I couldn't wait to take it home, so with the shop's permission, I tried the salted sauce chicken thigh with green onions for 132 yen!
It's not just sauce or just salt, but a new sensation with salted sauce! I've always been a sauce person for yakitori, but this was the moment I discovered a new deliciousness. The chicken thigh is plump, and the charcoal aroma adds a nice accent. This is truly the real pleasure of charcoal grilling! The manager, Mr. Horikoshi, initially grilled with electricity, but after trial and error, he switched to charcoal grilling. He said he was satisfied with the result himself.
On the display shelf, there are weekly rankings of the top 3 sauce and salted sauce items. The No. 1 sauce item is the ever-popular chicken thigh with green onions!
The No. 1 salted sauce item is cartilage! Many people apparently buy it as a snack with beer.
There's also karaage (fried chicken), either as a standalone item or in a bento box! They also have spicy karaage and domestic cartilage karaage, so why not order what you like?
For those who love fried food, ketchup & mayonnaise are included. They also have yakitori bento and nori bento.
Yakitori Genki's items are pre-cooked, so you can receive your order right away. Yakitori and karaage are often bought as side dishes, and they get cold while you prepare at home. The shop's idea is to prevent customers from waiting and to hand over their orders quickly.
If you want to eat right away or prefer it freshly grilled, you can make a reservation and pick up your freshly made order! Using the microwave in the store is also an option.
Yakitori Genki is marked by its yellow sign. Even first-timers can find it without getting lost by following the navigation. The parking space is large, so no worries there.
