Torifuji
I ordered the "Choi Nomi Set" for 1,530 yen. It's their recommended set, popular with both regulars and first-timers, featuring one drink + two dishes! For drinks, you can choose from draft beer, imo shochu, mugi shochu, or highball. I chose mapo tofu and spring rolls for the dishes.
The mapo tofu was spicy and packed with umami! The portion is quite generous, so it's recommended for those who want a hearty meal.
Take a look at the filling of the spring rolls. They're bursting with a variety of ingredients! It's a shame the photo can't convey it all... They're delicious with soy sauce + vinegar + mustard!

Pork loin cutlet made with safe and secure SPF pork. I never knew ketchup went so well with cutlets.
The sashimi is the chef's choice. The photo shows tuna and horse mackerel.
The steamed chicken salad has a generous amount of chicken, which is a nice touch!
The seafood spring rolls with shrimp and scallops are a popular menu item that you'll want to add to your Choi Nomi Set. They're handmade from scratch, so they're limited in quantity.
On another day, I had lunch. Chicken cutlet, yurinchi, oyakodon, karaage-don... As the name "Torifuji" suggests (tori means chicken), the restaurant offers a wide variety of chicken dishes. Since its establishment, it has consistently used "Kinshu-dori" chicken. This excellent chicken won the grand prize at the 2017 Local Chicken/Brand Chicken Favorability Contest!
I ordered the toriju set for 1,353 yen, a full course with juice and dessert. The highest temperature that day was 34 degrees Celsius, after all... Of course, there are many affordable menu items for under 1,000 yen as well.
