In the afternoon, an official press conference was held at Kashima Stadium, attended by Antlers Manager Oiwa and player Endo.

Go Oiwa (Manager):
"This is the first match of the group stage, and I remember struggling in the home group stage matches in last year's tournament. Tomorrow's opener is a home game, so we want to approach it with the determination to show our aggressive attitude throughout the entire match, from start to finish."

Yasushi Endo (Player):
"This will be a completely different battle than in the J.League. I believe that if we can play Antlers-style football, the results will come, so it's just a matter of whether we can play our own style with confidence."
