The team received the Ibaraki Prefectural Citizen's Honor Award in recognition of their achievement of winning their first AFC Champions League title in 2018, bringing their total to 20 titles. This is the third time the team has received this award, following 2001 and 2008.

Digital Station
A Digital Station was set up to support digital usage at Kashima Stadium, including how to use the electronic tickets and stadium Wi-Fi, which will be introduced this season. The booth also provided charging stations for smartphones and mobile phones to ensure a comfortable digital service experience within the stadium.
