On October 28th, 1000 days before the Tokyo Olympics, a bouldering clinic was held at Kashima Wellness Plaza, featuring Tomoa Narasaki, the 2016 Bouldering World Champion. His younger brother, Meichi Narasaki, who won the World Youth Championship, also participated. Approximately 40 participants, divided into two sessions – elementary and junior high school students in the first, and adults in the second – experienced the allure of bouldering.

A sign proclaiming "1000 Days Until the Olympics" was also displayed. Attention is gathering for bouldering, which has been newly added as an official Olympic sport!

When Tomoa and Meichi Narasaki appeared for the first session, there were loud cheers from the children and their guardians. Tomoa greeted them, saying, "It's a short time, but let's enjoy it together!"

During the demonstration, Tomoa effortlessly grasped the highest hold.

When the tall Meichi extended his long limbs, he easily grabbed the holds, eliciting cries of surprise.

He advised, "Before you start climbing, visualize which holds you're going to grab. The position of your feet is important too."

Crab walk from both sides of the wall! When they reached the middle, Tomoa and Meichi high-fived for the goal!

With advice from Tomoa, she brilliantly touched the top hold! A smile of accomplishment spread across her face.

During the Q&A session, specific questions arose from parents, such as precautions to take when teaching children to climb.

In response to a request from the emcee, who had watched a video, Tomoa showed off his amazing scapular control.

The second session was also a great success! Many spectators gathered.

Thanks to the world champion's careful guidance, the seminar was enjoyable for both experienced climbers and beginners.

To effectively grasp the holds, body usage is important. "Relax when climbing."

The bouldering wall at Wellness offers a variety of routes with different difficulty levels. Everyone can experience the exhilaration of reaching the top.

We asked Tomoa to try a route that seemed "a bit impossible!" Since the routes are recorded on the wall, experience his amazing moves.

The emblem in the upper left of the wall now bears the signatures of the two world champions!
