Championship Celebration Event

The Antlers Hometown Council organized a commemorative event to celebrate the team's victory in the 2016 Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance J1 League and the 96th Emperor's Cup All-Japan Football Championship.


The team paraded approximately 500m from the Kashima City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hall to the main sanctuary of Kashima Jingu Shrine, led by police motorcycles. Approximately 15,000 people lined the streets, cheering on the parade.

After praying for victory at Kashima Jingu Shrine, the team returned to the Kashima City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hall and reported their victory from the balcony. They also received the Ibaraki Image Up Award from Governor Masaru Hashimoto. Captain Ogasawara held up the shield, and Yamamoto held the Emperor's Cup, performing a cup raise with the supporters chanting their names.

Finally, Masako, who was appointed as the players' association president, spoke about his aspirations for the current season, and the victory report meeting concluded.
