First Day of 2016 Miyazaki Camp

Before departing for their training camp in Miyazaki, the team split into two groups to pay courtesy visits to various sponsors in Tokyo. Afterward, the team traveled to Miyazaki and attended a welcome ceremony at the airport. Children from a local kindergarten presented them with bouquets of flowers, and Mayor Toshiyuki of Miyazaki presented them with local specialties. In return, player Nakamura presented the children with soccer balls.

Manager Ishii delivered a speech, saying, "The host told us 'welcome back,' and indeed, as this is our 19th Miyazaki camp, it truly feels like coming home. The J-League now has a two-stage system, making a strong start crucial. We hope to have excellent training here in Miyazaki to ensure a powerful start. This year, we aim for the triple crown in the J-League, Yamazaki Nabisco Cup, and Emperor's Cup. We hope many people will come to watch and encourage the players during this camp."
