This tournament began in 1999 as part of the Antlers Hometown Promotion Project, under the "J.League's 100-Year Vision," and this year marked its 17th anniversary. Its goals are to promote and develop mini-basketball, cultivate the healthy minds and bodies of children, and improve their skills and foster camaraderie.

Once again, strong teams from various prefectures in the Kanto region and the eastern part of Ibaraki Prefecture gathered for fierce competition.

Additionally, on the 13th, player Yamamura visited to offer encouragement, joining Shikako and Anton in livening up the tournament.
