Attending the conference were Shigeru Ihata, Representative Director and President of Kashima Antlers F.C. Co., Ltd.; Ryoji Terai, Representative Director and President of Ebisu Trade Co., Ltd.; Hiroshi Saruta, Section Manager of the Planning Department's Project Promotion Division, Ibaraki Prefecture; and Takashi Yamafuji, Kashima Antlers Team Doctor and Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Tokyo Medical University.
Shigeru Ihata: "This time, we decided to venture into the medical field as an evolution of our health business. I believe that the Antlers Sports Clinic will undoubtedly contribute to local medical care, and we also hope it will become a core content in terms of stadium utilization."
Ryoji Terai: "As a business to 'energize Japan' through sports, we have planned and will establish Japan's first medical facility together with Kashima Antlers. Through this project, we hope to energize the Kashima region and, by extension, Japan. We look forward to your support."
Hiroshi Saruta: "We anticipate that the implementation of this project will enhance medical services in the Kōko region and create vibrancy at the stadium, thus contributing to the development of the community."
Takashi Yamafuji: "We hope to offer the same quality of medical care provided to the Antlers' top team to the local community, by combining the over 20 years of experience and knowledge accumulated by Antlers' medical staff with the latest medical knowledge from Tokyo Medical University, University of Tsukuba, and other institutions."
At the press conference, in addition to explaining the utilization of the stadium and the role of the Antlers Sports Clinic, President Terai also explained the business concept of the Antlers Sports Clinic and its collaboration with university hospitals. Finally, comments received from Mitsuru Murai, Chairman of the Japan Professional Football League, were also introduced.
