On the afternoon of the 15th, the players departed Kashima for the third match of the AFC Champions League 2015 group stage against Guangzhou Evergrande. It was a tight schedule, traveling the day after the J1 1st Stage Matchday 2 against Shonan, but the players looked relaxed at the airport. Many players wore masks, showing their thorough attention to health management.

As always, the amount of equipment brought for away games is substantial. For overseas trips, with limited transportation options, the players also pitch in to carry the luggage.

The next day dawned cloudy and a bit muggy. The players headed from their accommodation to the training ground for their morning practice but, just like last time against FC Seoul, they got caught in traffic.

The players began their training around 10:30 AM local time on the field next to Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center, the match venue.

As the temperature rose, most players wore short-sleeved training wear. In their first practice session on location, after finishing their warm-up, they engaged in passing drills and other exercises.

Several skyscrapers stood around the training ground. Although the pitch conditions were not ideal, the players were eager to adapt quickly to the local environment and approached their training with enthusiasm.

As there were no changing rooms at the practice ground, after training, the players walked to the Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Center. After taking showers, they returned to their accommodation.
