Kashima Shrine Prayer for Victory

On February 12, prior to the opening of the 2015 season, we held a prayer ceremony at Kashima Shrine for victory. Despite it being a weekday, over 700 supporters participated, and when the team bus arrived, they lined the approach to the shrine, cheering and encouraging the players.

After the prayer ceremony for victory, the players and staff turned to face the supporters, and President Ihata gave a speech on behalf of the club. He said, "We will fight to reclaim titles, especially aiming for the J-League championship. I feel that this year's team has a good balance, with young and veteran players, and newly reinforced players blending well." He also called out to the supporters, saying, "The players have enough strength to win titles. To make that a reality, we need your strong support. Let's unite with all of you and achieve the goal of reclaiming titles this year."

On the ema (votive tablets), a customary annual event, words such as "victory," "title," and "undefeated" were written. With the regret of the past two seasons ending without a title in our hearts, let's move forward as a united team towards conquering all titles. The decisive 2015 season is finally about to begin!
