ANTLERS BUSINESS CLUB Kamisu City 2025 Beach Cleanup

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, we participated in the "Kamisu City 2025 Beach Cleanup" (hosted by the Kamisu City Beach Cleanup Executive Committee) held at Nikkawahama Beach in Kamisu City. This participation was part of our philosophy sponsorship activities (*) carried out in collaboration with the companies affiliated with the ANTLERS BUSINESS CLUB.

Prior to the swimming season, citizens, various organizations, companies, and the local government collaborated on beach cleanup activities. The purpose of this initiative is not only to maintain a beautiful coastline but also to raise awareness of the growing problem of marine plastic waste through the collection and separation of trash that negatively impacts the natural environment.

Akira Narahashi, a former Kashima Antlers player, actively participated in the local beach cleanup as part of community contribution and environmental conservation efforts. All participants diligently collected washed-up trash.

This year's Kamisu City beach cleanup saw a total of 1,981 volunteers participate, collecting approximately 1.5 tons of trash under slightly cloudy skies and a gentle sea breeze.

Although years of cleanup activities have reduced visible trash, collecting microplastic waste remains a challenge. This situation highlights the issues of modern society where plastic use has become easy, and re-emphasizes the importance of early collection of trash discarded on the beach.

We will continue our efforts to protect the beaches of our hometown in collaboration with the Business Club members.

The ANTLERS BUSINESS CLUB will continue to conduct activities aimed at regional and social contribution.
