A grand welcome ceremony was held at Miyazaki Bougainvillea Airport. First, children from the local Ikime Kindergarten presented leis of bougainvillea and bouquets, and in return, Coach Oniki presented signed balls to the children.
Next, Mr. Hideya Nagayama, Vice Mayor of Miyazaki City, presented fruits, a specialty of Miyazaki, and in return, Konno presented a signed ball.
Finally, Coach Oniki expressed his gratitude for the welcome ceremony and stated his aspirations for the training camp and his determination for the start of the season, saying, "We want to conduct intense training and challenging training matches and practice games here in Miyazaki. Even with such intensity, I believe the players will enjoy the delicious food in Miyazaki. We want to be able to deliver good news. I firmly believe that will be winning the J.League."
