Kashima City (Mayor Shinichi Taguchi), Toyo Seikan Group Holdings, Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo; President and CEO Kazuo Otsuka; hereinafter "Toyo Seikan Group"), and Kashima Antlers F.C. Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture; President and CEO Fumiaki Koizumi; hereinafter "Kashima Antlers") announced that on Sunday, August 6, they concluded a comprehensive cooperation agreement on resource recycling and the formation of a sustainable society, with the aim of accelerating local resource recycling and promoting the creation of a more livable society.

Going forward, the parties will make effective use of their respective knowledge and expertise to build a resource recycling system for regional issues and aim for sustainable town development.

Purpose of this Agreement

This comprehensive cooperation agreement is concluded with the aim of revitalizing social contribution activities such as promoting the collection and recycling of local resources by utilizing the Toyo Seikan Group's packaging container technologies and Kashima Antlers' resources, whose hometown covers the five cities of Hokota, Kashima, Itako, Kamisu, and Namegata.

Through the conclusion of this agreement, the three parties will cooperate to promote projects for regional revitalization, unconstrained by the public and private sectors.

(1) Awareness-raising activities on resource recycling for elementary schools, communities, citizens, and businesses in the city
(2) Experimental collection of PET bottle caps, paper cups, and other resources
(3) Consideration of reprocessing collected resources
(4) Experimental collection at Kashima Soccer Stadium, sports facilities in the city, etc.
(5) Utilization of reprocessed products at Kashima Soccer Stadium
(6) Holding events where people can enjoy resource recycling in a familiar way
(7) Consideration of resource recycling measures
