We would like to announce that one player from our top team was diagnosed positive after a PCR test for COVID-19 on Saturday, August 6.
The player developed a fever on the evening of Friday, August 5, and was diagnosed positive after a PCR test for COVID-19 conducted on the morning of August 6. The player is currently recuperating under appropriate guidance and measures. As a result of identifying close contacts based on the J.League's COVID-19 infection control guidelines, no one was identified as a close contact.
All players and team officials, excluding the affected player, received negative diagnoses in the regular J.League-designated antigen qualitative tests conducted on the morning of August 5, and no symptoms such as poor health have been confirmed. Please note that for the 2022 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 24 game against Sanfrecce Hiroshima on August 6, a same-day screening test as stipulated by the J.League guidelines will be conducted, and players and staff who test negative will be entered.
The club will further strengthen its efforts to prevent COVID-19 infection, which it has been working on, and will ensure that all players, staff, and related parties are re-informed and thoroughly implement infection prevention measures.
