We would like to announce that two top team players and one top team staff member of our club tested positive for COVID-19 in PCR tests by Thursday, July 21.
Player A developed a fever on the morning of Wednesday, July 20, and tested positive in a PCR test conducted the same day. Player B and the staff member tested positive in PCR tests scheduled for players and team officials on the morning of July 21. These players and staff are currently recuperating under appropriate guidance and measures. Furthermore, as a result of identifying close contacts based on the instructions of the public health center, one player was determined to be a close contact of Player A.
All players and team officials, excluding the infected players, staff, and close contacts, tested negative in PCR tests conducted on the morning of July 21, and no symptoms such as poor health have been confirmed. In addition, as a preventative measure for all, including the general public, team training on the afternoon of the same day and Friday, July 22, will be closed to the public, and players and staff will conduct training using only the field, without using clubhouse facilities such as lockers and showers.
The club will further strengthen the COVID-19 countermeasures it has implemented to date and will ensure that all players, staff, and related parties are once again informed of and fully comply with infection prevention measures.
