We regret to inform you that today's 2022 J.League YBC Levain Cup Group Stage Matchday 1, Oita Trinita match (kick-off at 14:00 / Showa Denko Dome Oita), scheduled for Wednesday, February 23 (holiday), has been cancelled.
Several members of Oita Trinita tested positive for COVID-19, and on Friday, February 18, the relevant health center designated several top team players and coaches as close contacts. As the team was instructed to suspend all activities until Thursday, February 24, they were unable to meet the entry requirements stipulated in the J.League's official match implementation guidelines. As a result, the J.League determined that Oita Trinita would clearly not meet the minimum number of entries stipulated in the J.League regulations, and thus decided to cancel the match.
We will announce the alternative match date as soon as it is decided.
