We would like to announce that on Tuesday, January 11, PCR tests for COVID-19 were conducted on approximately 50 people, including top team players and team officials, and all tested negative.
This test was conducted after one top team player tested positive for COVID-19 in a PCR test on Monday, January 10 (national holiday). The top team practice on January 11, which was scheduled as the start date for the 2022 season, was canceled and the test was conducted on players and team officials, excluding the player who tested positive and foreign players who were in isolation after arriving in Japan. In addition, under the guidance of the public health center, close contacts were identified, and one player was determined to be a close contact.
Accordingly, top team practice for the 2022 season will commence on Wednesday, January 12, excluding the player who tested positive for COVID-19, the close contact, and foreign players who did not undergo PCR testing this time.
*To prevent the spread of COVID-19, practice viewing at the clubhouse and fan services will remain suspended.
