On Thursday, December 17, one player belonging to our club's top team tested positive for COVID-19 in a PCR test. Currently, the player is not reporting any symptoms such as illness or fever. As a result of contact tracing by the public health center, no other players were identified as close contacts. One staff member who is suspected of being a close contact is currently self-isolating at home.
Following this, PCR tests were conducted on all top team players, excluding the player in question, and team staff on the 17th. All tested negative, and no symptoms such as illness or fever have been observed. The "2020 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Matchday 34 vs. Cerezo Osaka (kick-off at 2:00 PM)" on Saturday, December 19, will be held as scheduled.
Regarding the clubhouse facilities, after consultation with the public health center, the entire building was disinfected with alcohol by an external company on the 17th. The official shop and futsal courts will continue to operate as usual. The club will further strengthen the COVID-19 countermeasures that have been implemented so far, and ensure that all players, staff, and related personnel are re-informed and thoroughly adhere to infection prevention measures.
