Notification of Becoming a Member of the Sport Innovation Alliance

We are pleased to announce that our club has become the first professional football club from East Asia to join the "Sport Innovation Alliance," an open innovation hub where famous professional football clubs from around the world aim to fuse sports and technology.

The Sports Innovation Alliance was established in November 2019, centered around the Digital Transformation & Innovation Department of Real Sociedad, a club belonging to La Liga (Spain). This open innovation hub facilitates global cooperation and collaboration centered on football and technology, with each club contributing its knowledge. At monthly online regular meetings, the latest technologies and sponsoring companies collaborate with participating clubs through this alliance.

The basic policy of this alliance is for only one club from each country to participate, and currently, a total of 22 clubs from 21 countries are members. The combined SNS followers of the alliance are: Facebook: 25 million, Instagram: 11 million, Twitter: 26 million, YouTube: 22 million.

Kashima Antlers began its New York-based operations in March 2017 in partnership with Blue United Corporation (President & CEO Takehiko Nakamura), which provides various sports management consulting and overseas athlete support services in the United States. Our membership in the Sports Innovation Alliance was also realized with their support. Going forward, we will continue to leverage this alliance, with Blue United Corporation serving as our regular point of contact.
