■Manager Oiwa's Comment:
"I was appointed manager midway through 2017, and I have nothing but gratitude for the players, staff, front office, and all the fans, supporters, and sponsors who have supported us throughout this journey. Kashima Antlers is a club where winning titles is a given. The fact that we couldn't win the J.League, Levain Cup, or achieve back-to-back ACL titles this year is solely due to my own shortcomings, and I truly apologize for that.
We have two more matches this season, with the Emperor's Cup title still at stake. This is a chance for the entire Antlers family to share in a moment of joy. My final task is to stand at the top with the players and bring the greatest happiness to all of you, nothing more. I would be delighted if you would continue to support us until the very end, as we fight united for victory."
