Today, it was announced that Machida Koki will not be called up for the U-22 Japan National Team to play in the KIRIN CHALLENGE CUP against the U-22 Colombia National Team (11/17 @ E-Stadium).
This is because Machida received a red card in an international friendly match against the U-22 Brazil National Team held in Brazil on October 14, and FIFA notified the Japan Football Association on November 7 that Machida would be ineligible to play in the next international friendly match for the same category national team.
