It has been decided that "Open Stadium 2019" will be held at Kashima Soccer Stadium on Saturday, October 5th.
This year, we plan to hold various events such as a soccer event with Antlers OB players, a music event "Halloween Night" held on the open pitch, and a mission-clear attraction "Zombie Escape."
Also, "Ibaraki wo Tabeyou Harvest Festival" (organized by Ibaraki Prefecture and Kashima City), where a wide variety of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products and processed goods will be gathered, will be held simultaneously around Kashima Soccer Stadium on the same day.
Details about the events at Open Stadium 2019 will be announced as soon as they are decided.
[Purpose of Open Stadium]
The first event was held in September of the same year to commemorate the restoration of Kashima Stadium, which was damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, and was the only home facility for major professional sports that was unable to host official matches for three months. The purpose was to widely open the "restored stadium" to local residents and fans and share the "joy of having a stadium." Since then, without changing its purpose, this year marks the ninth event.
