"I will continue to serve as the manager of Kashima Antlers for the 2019 season. Last year, thanks to everyone's support, we won the AFC Champions League title for the first time in the club's history. However, the fact that we went two consecutive years without a domestic title is very disappointing, and this year we will improve in all aspects and fight as one club toward the goal of reclaiming domestic titles, including the J.League, and winning back-to-back Asian championships.
