
The J.League will hold the final round of the esports tournament "Meiji Yasuda Life eJ.LEAGUE" on Friday, May 4, 2018 (public holiday). This will be the J.League's first attempt to host an esports tournament. We are pleased to announce that Kashima Antlers has selected Mikey (affiliated with Blue United Corporation), an esports player active both domestically and internationally, as a J1 Club Recommended Player (*) for this tournament.
The tournament will be played using Electronic Arts (EA)'s game "EA SPORTS FIFA 18." The winner will receive the right to participate in the "EA SPORTS™ FIFA 18 Global Series Playoffs" (hereinafter, Global Series Playoffs / held in June 2018), which is a world qualifier for the official esports tournament "FIFA eWorld Cup 2018" organized by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The tournament will be live-streamed on various media, including DAZN and the official J.League YouTube channel, so please be sure to watch.

Approximately 9 years of esports competition experience both domestically and internationally. First participated in the FIFA Interactive World Cup (now: e World Cup) in 2015, and also competed in the 2017 London tournament.
