■Kashima City Black Rice + Kashima City Specially Cultivated Rice
This is Kashima City's specially cultivated rice, also used in school lunches, grown with organic fertilizers and minimizing reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides! This time, we've also included black rice, rich in vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber! This is a nutritious rice set. Please enjoy its sekihan-like (red bean rice) cooked appearance.
■Kamisu City Specially Cultivated Koshihikari Rice
This is safe, secure, and delicious specially cultivated rice from Kamisu City. Specially cultivated rice is rice grown with reduced use of pesticides and nitrogen components from chemical fertilizers below the prefectural standards, and specially cultivated rice from Kamisu City is also used in school lunches in Kamisu City. Please try the delicious specially cultivated rice from Kamisu City, nurtured by the passion of our farmers.
■Itako City Ichibanboshi
Ichibanboshi is a new original variety developed by Ibaraki Prefecture as an extra-early maturing variety to replace "Akitakomachi" in the Kashima and southern regions of Ibaraki Prefecture, and has been available for production and sale since 2013.
It is delicious rice characterized by its large grains and chewy texture. It is also delicious when cold, making it perfect for onigiri (rice balls).
■Hokota City Hokotakko
Hokotakko is specially cultivated rice by six rice farmers in Hokota City!
Through the techniques cultivated by the "Hokotakko Research Group," this delicious and safe Koshihikari rice uses half the amount of pesticides and only organic fertilizers. Please enjoy Hokota's rice, which values texture and taste.
■Namegata City Namegata Koshihikari
Namegata Koshihikari is cultivated in abundant rice paddies mainly along the shores of Lake Kasumigaura and Lake Kitaura.
This is a "specially cultivated agricultural product" with half or less the usual amount of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, making it safe, secure, and environmentally friendly rice. It also has the characteristic of being "delicious even when cold."
