Today, it was announced that Akasaki received the 2015 J.League Yamazaki Nabisco Cup "New Hero Award."
Comment from Akasaki:
"I am extremely happy to receive such a prestigious award. I believe I was able to win this award thanks to everyone involved with the team. When Coach Ishii took over and my playing time increased, the Yamazaki Nabisco Cup final tournament began. I haven't won a title since joining this team, so I want to win the final and get our first title. Many players who have won this award have gone on to play for the national team, so first I want to win this tournament and then aim for the same stage."
