The final tournament, which begins on September 2 (Wednesday), will be played as a home-and-away tournament among a total of eight teams: FC Tokyo, Albirex Niigata, Nagoya Grampus, and Vissel Kobe, who advanced from the group stage, and Kashima Antlers, Urawa Reds, Kashiwa Reysol, and Gamba Osaka, who will enter the tournament from the knockout stage due to their participation in the AFC Champions League 2015.
