Notice: Mercari Stadium to go completely cashless from the 2026/27 season

We would like to announce that Kashima Antlers will be implementing a "complete cashless payment system" for all transactions (including some outside the stadium) within Mercari Stadium during home games, starting from the 2026/27 season.

As a result, cash payments will no longer be accepted at any stores or counters inside the stadium. Please prepare for cashless payment before visiting the stadium.

This initiative aims to provide a new fan experience (CX) and promote digital transformation (DX) in stadium operations. By going completely cashless, we will significantly reduce accounting processing times at food and beverage and merchandise stores, alleviating the "waiting times" that have been a challenge at the stadium. At the same time, by eliminating contact with cash, we aim to improve hygiene and streamline store operations, thereby realizing a safer, more secure, and comfortable smart stadium.

Background and Objectives of Implementation

1. Shorter Payment Times and Reduced Congestion
By eliminating cash transactions, processing time per transaction will be significantly reduced. This will alleviate queues at food and beverage and merchandise stores before matches and during halftime, maximizing the time customers can focus on watching the game.

2. Improved Stadium Hygiene and Security
By eliminating contact with cash, hygiene will be improved. Additionally, cash management risks such as theft, loss, and the need for end-of-day cash reconciliation will be eliminated, leading to safer and more reliable store operations.

■ Notes for Your Visit
