Notice Regarding Change in Cup Material at All 25 Food and Beverage Stands in Kashima Stadium

Kashima Antlers is pleased to announce that as part of its efforts to protect the environment and realize a sustainable society, it will change the material of the beverage cups used at all 25 food and beverage stalls inside Kashima Soccer Stadium from conventional plastic to paper, starting from the 2025 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 2 match against Tokyo Verdy on Saturday, February 22nd.

The change in cup material is a collaborative effort with club partner Toyo Seikan Group Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Kazuo Otsuka), and aims to reduce plastic usage and waste at the stadium. Furthermore, the paper cups from Tokan Kogyo Co., Ltd. that will be adopted this time are planned to be recycled into toilet paper and cardboard as a renewable resource in the future, aiming to realize sustainable resource utilization.

Kashima Antlers and Toyo Seikan Group Holdings will continue to promote initiatives toward resource circulation and the realization of a sustainable society, including conducting demonstration experiments for paper cup collection and aluminum cup introduction experiments at Kashima Stadium.
