2025 J.League YBC Levain Cup Tournament Overview
■1st Round
A total of 55 clubs from J1, J2, and J3, excluding the five clubs participating in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, AFC Champions League Elite 2024/25, and AFC Champions League 2 2024/25 (Urawa, Kobe, Kawasaki F, Yokohama FM, Hiroshima), will be divided into 7 groups and play in a single-match knockout format. The 7 clubs that win their respective groups will advance to the Playoff Round.
*The pairings for the 1st Round will be determined based on the standings of the 2024 season J1 League, J2 League, J3 League, and JFL.

■Playoff Round
A total of 8 clubs, comprising the 7 clubs that advanced from the 1st Round and Hiroshima, who will participate in the AFC Champions League 2 2024/25, will play two matches in a home-and-away format. The 4 winning clubs will advance to the Prime Round.

■Prime Round
A total of 8 clubs, comprising the 4 clubs that advanced from the Playoff Round and the 4 clubs participating in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 and AFC Champions League Elite 2024/25 (Urawa, Kobe, Kawasaki F, Yokohama FM), will play a home-and-away tournament (the final will be a single match).
*The pairings for the Prime Round will be determined by draw after the Playoff Round.
