The "Antlers Food Education Caravan" started in 2014 and targets elementary school students in the five hometown cities. It aims to give back to the community the knowledge of diet and exercise cultivated as a professional soccer club, promoting the healthy development and growth of children. Supported by Showa Sangyo Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Hideyuki Tsukakoshi), our official partner, this year marks the 11th year of the program as a project of the Antlers Hometown Council.
The program has visited elementary schools in the five hometown cities, conducting a total of 124 lectures over the past 10 years, with 10,500 participating children. The pamphlets used for the lectures feature top team players each year, raising awareness about breakfast and the five major nutrients, and introducing ingredients from the five hometown cities, meal menus from the youth dormitory, proper eating posture, and how to hold chopsticks correctly. In 2024, Shintaro Nago, Shuto Morioka, and new season recruit Kimito Noshino will be featured.
This year's program will conduct classes in seven elementary schools in Hokota City starting on September 6th.
