Futsal Report

School Plus (2/10)

On Saturday, February 10th, we held School Plus for 1st to 4th graders at the Antlers Clubhouse Futsal Court!
School Plus is a one-day school for players who love soccer and want to improve their skills and practice more.
This time, the training focused on the basic skills of "stopping and kicking."

First, everyone played a ball-passing game!
The game involves lining up in a single file, facing forward, and passing the ball backwards between the body, either over the head or under the legs.

Next was the foot baton relay! Groups were formed, and everyone sat in a line.

This game involves passing a ball held between the feet to the next person without dropping it.
In both games, there was a lot of ingenuity and cooperation to be faster, and they challenged themselves many times!

Then, Brazilian gymnastics to the rhythm!
Even children who couldn't do it well at first were able to follow the rhythm as they got used to it. Paying attention not only to the rhythm but also to their posture, they moved their bodies, and the warm-up was over!

After that, the groups split up for training.
1st graders focused on "stopping and kicking."

First, they focused on the ball's position right before kicking. Once they became aware of that, they then worked on the position of the non-kicking foot. Where should the ball be to make it easy to kick? Where should you step to transfer power to the ball? We asked them these questions, making them think, and repeated the training many, many times.
2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders focused on "stopping, kicking, and carrying."
They practiced stopping the ball in a good position for kicking, kicking straight, and thinking about where to hit the ball to achieve that. For carrying the ball, they focused on the direction of their foot and where to contact the ball.

Finally, the coach told them, "Let's continue to build on what you were able to do and what you learned in practice today."
"Continuity is power," and it's important to keep going.
We look forward to welcoming many more "players who want to improve" next time!
