School Plus Alpha (6/3)

On Saturday, June 3rd, we held "School Plus Alpha" for elementary school students at the Antlers Clubhouse Ground!
This time, 25 players participated, and the overall theme was "Stopping and Kicking."

Instep Pass
First, we confirmed where the inside of the foot is.
Where on the ball to kick, how to approach it...
They are kicking with good form!

Next is the instep kick.
Unlike the instep pass, we focused on approaching from a slightly diagonal angle.
Many players were able to kick well overall.

Finally, a game for everyone!

With special rules, an inside kick counted as 2 goals.
There was a strong desire to score more reliably, and I think it became a game that heavily emphasized kicking.
【2nd and 3rd Graders】 Coaches Aono, Sakai

The ability to stop the ball as you intend, though seemingly simple, is the most important thing.
Everyone was seriously focused on this, with intent expressions!

Similarly, with shots, we focused on being able to place the ball in an easy position to kick.
Of course, there will be failures, but the important thing is to challenge!
They actively used their weaker foot as well.

Finally, a game for everyone!

They were able to play while being mindful of what they had worked on in training and the advice from the coaches.
It was a very exciting match, with strong individual desire to win.
【4th, 5th, and 6th Graders】 Coach Murai

In the face-to-face passing practice at the beginning, we focused on firmly shaping the foot and fixing the ankle to stop the ball with the inside of the foot.
Passing and controlling head-on is fundamental to soccer!

After that, they received passes from the coach and shot.
In this practice, the key is how well you can control the ball with your first touch to face forward.

Finally, a 3-on-3 game!

They were able to apply what they had practiced in the game!
However, there were also failures (mistakes) among them.
The important thing is to challenge repeatedly.
And to continue not just for one day, but for a week, a month...
Players who can do that will grow!
"School Plus Alpha" is where you can practice more fundamental things than in regular school.
If you want to get better! If you want to get stronger! Please come and join us!
We look forward to seeing many participants again next time!
