Kids' Soccer Class for 4-6 year olds (May 5)

On Friday, May 5th (public holiday), we held a kids' soccer school for preschoolers and kindergarteners at the Antlers Clubhouse Ground.
10 preschoolers and 14 kindergarteners participated on the day!

Comment from Coach Aono, who was in charge of the preschoolers:

Some of the kids were a little nervous at first, but during the "Bottom Wiggle Game," where they chased the coaches trying to avoid being tagged, they gradually seemed to relax.

After that, in the cone-hitting game and treasure-gathering game, they kicked cones down and dribbled to collect lots of treasure, not wanting to lose to their friends. Some children even repeatedly knocked down stacks of yellow Boscone cones and proudly showed off to the coaches.

In the final game, we saw many instances of children challenging the coaches repeatedly, and both the children and the coaches were playing seriously. When they scored a goal, we saw them showing off to their mothers and sharing their joy with their friends, creating a heartwarming scene.

Finally, everyone gathered for a group photo, and the kids' soccer school concluded.
The children's joyful words to the coaches, "That was fun! Let's play soccer again!" were the most impressive thing and felt like the most important takeaway.

Comment from Coach Murai, who was in charge of the kindergarteners:
Similar to the preschoolers, we played the "Bottom Wiggle Game," followed by dribbling practice, shooting practice, and a game.

During dribbling practice, it was striking how much faster everyone's dribbling became after the coaches demonstrated. For children of this age, "showing" then "imitating" is crucial.
During shooting practice, the coaches played as goalkeepers and saved many shots (laughs).

Even so, the children who scored goals had big smiles on their faces!

In the final game, there were some moments that weren't exactly like soccer (laughs), but the important thing is that everyone was having fun!

We plan to regularly increase the number of events for children in the future.
This includes soccer schools like today's, parent-child soccer, and matches for kids, among others...
We hope that as many children as possible will come to love soccer through Antlers. And we look forward to future Antlers players emerging from their ranks!
