A disappointing defeat away at Shoshi High School

Matchday 5 of the Prince Takamado Trophy JFA U-18 Football Premier League 2024 EAST saw us face Shoshi High School away.

In the previous home match against Yokohama FC, the entire team fought tough, and with the passionate support of the academy players, we secured our first win of the season.

This match, with temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, the entire team aimed for a second consecutive win.

Kashima Youth initially took control of the pace, but they couldn't break down the opponent's defense, which was reinforced by many players falling back into their own half, making it difficult to get shots on target.

Despite having possession for long periods, the first half ended without any decisive chances.

They then scored again in the 83rd minute, and the match ended 0-2. We aimed for a consecutive win on the road, but it was a disappointing defeat.
