Brazil Expedition (August 25-26)

The Copa da Amizade Brazil-Japão, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has now reached its 22nd iteration. Our junior youth team will be participating in this tournament.

On the evening of August 25th, at the clubhouse, players from Kashima (20), Norte (18), and Tsukuba (16), along with 6 staff members, confirmed details for the Brazil expedition and received advice on competing overseas from advisor Ogasawara, who will be accompanying them, before heading to Narita Airport.

At Narita Airport, two staff members from the Ibaraki Prefectural Football Association (Mr. Iwasaki and Mr. Akasu) joined the group, and they departed from Narita Airport on the 10 PM flight.

After approximately 11 hours, we arrived in Dubai and explored the airport during our three-hour transit. We rested while stimulating our bodies with stretches and other activities. At 7:20 AM (local time), we departed for Rio de Janeiro.

Despite the long 25-hour flight from Narita to Rio de Janeiro, everyone arrived safely at Galeão Airport with no health issues.

After being met by local staff, we traveled for about an hour, encountering some traffic, to reach our hotel. By the time we arrived, it was already dark, so after an explanation about room assignments and the use of hotel facilities, each team had dinner, confirmed the next day's schedule, and then went to bed.
