China expedition (7/6)

On the 6th day of the tournament, the 5th round was held from 8:30 AM, and the 6th round was held from 5:10 PM.

In the morning, we moved to the dining hall for breakfast from 6:15 AM, and after finishing our meal, we headed straight to the match venue.

Just like the day before yesterday, the match started at 8:30 AM, so the sunlight wasn't too strong, and there was a moderate breeze, allowing us to play in very good conditions.

This was a match between two Japanese teams, and also against a team we had interacted with at the lodging, making it an emotionally charged game for both sides.

Antlers kept possession of the ball from the start of the first half, but their play was often passive, making it difficult to advance the ball to the front line, leading to prolonged periods of passing the ball around the defensive line. Occasionally, careless passes were intercepted, and the opponent would penetrate the penalty area, but we were often saved by their lack of finishing ability.

Nevertheless, towards the end of the half, we started to break through the opponent's defensive line more often, creating more close chances.

Then, in the 23rd minute, Masuda took a corner kick, and Kato powerfully headed it in, securing the opening goal.

In the second half, just 4 minutes in, maintaining the momentum from the end of the first half, Urushihara scored a goal from a pass aimed behind the opponent's defensive line, creating a chance, and from then on, we continued to dominate possession.

Similar to the first half, there were some careless passing errors, but the overall balance was better than in the first half, and we were able to advance the ball at a good tempo.

In the 18th minute of the second half, Takagi replaced Miyamoto, who had been creating chances offensively. Two minutes later, in the 20th minute, Takagi directly kicked a cross from the side, making it 3-0. After that, we continued to play safely and secured a 3-0 victory.

After the morning match, we returned to the lodging for lunch, took a short break, and then headed to the venue for the afternoon match.

The afternoon match was later than the previous one, but considering the strong sunlight and the players' fatigue, we held a meeting in the shade near the lodging, relaxed a bit, and then headed to the venue.

FW: Miura, Takagi

From the start of the match, against an opponent applying high pressure, it was difficult to advance the ball from the defensive line to the front.

Nevertheless, in the 5th minute of the first half, Miura received the ball in front of the opponent's defensive line, which was pressing high, turned, and made a through pass. Takagi, who reacted to it, fended off the opponent and calmly slotted the ball into the goal in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper.

Furthermore, in the 10th minute, Miura drilled a sharp shot from his favored angle on the left side into the goal, giving us a 2-0 lead in the first half. From this point, some players who had played continuously started to show signs of fatigue, and the opponent pressed us for a while, but our defense held firm and we ended the first half.

In the second half, Okawa and Taira were brought in from the start to replace Masuda and Kaihara, who were showing signs of fatigue.

The second half unfolded similarly to the first, but due to fatigue, the opponent's pressure eased, and we continued to push forward.

In the 4th minute of the second half, from a dominant position, Takagi scored his 6th goal of the tournament, the most for the team, making it 3-0. We continued to press after that, but a lack of precision in the play just before the shot prevented us from adding more goals, and the match ended.
