From 7:15 AM, we had a buffet breakfast together with the AC Milan players.
The person in charge of the dining hall provided us with sandwiches, apples, and mineral water for lunch. We can only express our gratitude for their continued support to the team until the very end.
Before departure, we greeted the hotel staff who had taken care of us. Also, Mr. Neo, the head of the organizing committee for this tournament, came to the hotel with his family, so we greeted them and presented them with uniforms, pennants, and other gifts.
Mr. Neo and his family came to the airport, and we took a commemorative photo.
We boarded on time but departed from Olbia Airport with a delay of about 45 minutes. Concerned about the connection time, we arrived at Rome Airport, where Alitalia staff were waiting for us with a sign for Narita.
Although we were short on time, we presented a commemorative uniform to Mr. Takano, who accompanied us on this expedition, handling interpretations and negotiations with the local contacts. Afterward, Mr. Takano was heading to Sicily, Italy, so we said our goodbyes at Rome Airport.
We hastily made our connection at Rome Airport, completing boarding about 10 minutes before our departure for Narita.
We safely arrived at Narita Airport at 10:30 AM on Tuesday the 4th, after crossing the international date line.
During this expedition, no one dropped out due to poor health, and everyone was able to participate in matches and training games. Unfortunately, the result was a top 16 finish. We must return to our respective areas and use the experience gained from this expedition to improve our skills.
