Expedition to Korea (3/11)

The Kashima Antlers Junior 5th grade team's expedition to Korea began on March 11th.
This time, 18 players are participating: 10 from Kashima Junior and 8 from Tsukuba Junior. The staff includes Kashima Junior's coach Hashimoto as manager, Tsukuba Junior's coach Okawa as coach, and one other staff member, making a total of 21 people on the expedition.

They gathered at Narita Airport and arrived at Incheon Airport on a flight that departed on schedule.

At the airport, staff from Jeonbuk Hyundai, the host organization, and an interpreter were waiting for them. They boarded a bus and departed for Jeonju City, their destination. After having lunch at a service area along the way, they arrived at Jeonbuk Hyundai World Cup Stadium.

This expedition is a 3-night, 4-day trip. For the first two days, including today, the players will stay in pairs at the homes of Jeonbuk Hyundai Junior players. Upon arrival at the stadium parking lot, the staff and host families from Jeonbuk Hyundai Junior were waiting to welcome them.

After exchanging greetings between both teams, they toured the stadium, which is currently undergoing renovations for the U-20 World Cup. The construction is expected to be completed in April.

Afterward, the players headed to their homestays in cars provided by their host families. They are scheduled to play two friendly matches tomorrow.
