After breakfast, the team trained at tomorrow's match venue from 9:30. Before practice, we extended our gratitude to Lynn Zhang, who has been supporting our team since before our departure, and to Mr. Zhang, who helped with interpretation.
It's very hot, but the pitch conditions are excellent.
After dinner, a Welcome Party was held for all teams. After the welcome speech, commemorative gifts were presented to each team. Coach Kumagai of Kashima Youth presented a commemorative shield to the tournament organizing committee.
At the Welcome Party, various performances were held, including dances by Shandong children and cheerleaders, and sand art demonstrations. Kashima Youth performed "Soran Bushi" as part of the participating teams' performances. Although they had little time to practice, their enthusiasm made up for it, and the players received a big round of applause.
Tomorrow marks the first day of the tournament.
